It’s your last chance to guess which designer collaborated with Kate Middleton to create the most talked-about dress of the year. And we thought people made a big deal about Michelle Obama’s clothes. Check the odds, then place your bet. [Fashionista]

If you’re sick of all the Kate Middleton dress speculation, here’s what some of the Royal Wedding’s most fashionable guests will be wearing. [Fashionologie]

One thing is for sure, no guest of the Royal Wedding will be without a hat. [The Cut]

In other news, fragile celebrity egos force stylists to cut out size tags at photo shoots. [DailyMail]

And in related news, everyone is buzzing about MyBestFit, the new body scanning machine that tells you your exact clothing size by store and label. Bad news: If you’re a triple 0 at Chico’s, you’re a size 10 at Marc Jacobs. Don’t shoot the messenger. [The New York Times]

“I love this little Proenza Schouler printed camisole, but it seems like such a daytime piece–the sunny color and pattern just lend themselves to the daylight. I really wanted to wear it out for drinks after work, so in order to funk it up, I paired it with sexy, black Alexander Wang shorts and a really edgy pair of Alexander McQueen ankle boots. The Vince jacket I threw on over the camisole adds an element of evening sophistication and keeps the ensemble from showing too much skin. I accessorized with this leopard print Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci bag to keep with the funky theme of the outfit. The little pop of leopard works as a neutral while adding an interesting element to the look.”

Trend Alert: White Hot!

Trendspotting

The new black is…white. Whether it’s a little white dress, a flirty sheer top or a crocheted knit, now is the time to do the white thing and stock up on color-less pieces (and, let’s face it, probably some bleach), which incidentally look cool with all the colored denim we are seeing right now. Nothing looks better in the summer than a crisp white piece against sun-kissed skin. Not quite there yet? Then we recommend getting a beyond-amazing custom airbrush tan from Liz Pino at Queen Bee Salon & Spa. And while you’re waiting for it to dry, check out the cream, ivory and alabaster items you need to score right now in our just-white slideshow below.

Images, L to R:

1. Forget the LBD, this season is all about the LWD! Our pick: Antik Batik’s little white CoCo dress ($195)

2. Beyond Vintage’s sheer flirty top looks chic and effortless paired with faded denim ($350)

3. For a downtown vibe, score Elizabeth and James’ ruffle vest ($195)

4. We’re groovin’ on Genetic Denim Riley jeans‘ cool 70s silhouette ($185)

5. Rock Haute Hippie’s swan halter top with a mini skirt for a night out ($225)

6. Not your grandma’s crochet! Reveal sexy flashes of skin in Opening Ceremony’s knit tunic ($230)

7. On breezy summer evenings, Raquel Allegra’s net detail top is a safe bet for staying warm ($295)

Trend Alert: Megawatt Denim

Fashion, Shopping

Colored denim is all the rage right now! Cameron Diaz, Rachel Bilson, the sisters Kardashian, Rihanna and Fergie have all been spotted lately sporting this 80s revival look. Our favorite pair of the moment? Current/Elliott’s cropped skinny jeans in cayenne, which look chic paired with this Opening Ceremony white crochet top or this flirty Stella McCartney cut-out sequin tank. If you’re the kind of girl who likes to keep her blues, well, blue, stay tuned for Current/Elliott’s bright cobalt jeans, coming in May!

Kanye West is indeed a fashion pioneer. West closed Coachella in a tunic from Celine’s Spring 2011 women’s wear collection. And he kinda pulled it off. [Refinery29]

A used car salesman uses Tom Ford’s likeness in an ad, insinuating that Tom Ford is a dirty, used-up slut, albeit a hot one you kinda want to take a ride in…or something. Sure, Tom Ford did once say, “If sluttiness is what you like, what’s wrong with that? Why do we think being a slut’s bad? Sluttiness is just a lot of freedom.” Still we doubt he’d appreciate this downmarket use of his image.  [Telegraph UK]

Luckily, universal balance is restored because Tom Ford made the TIME 100 list. This more than makes up for being called a slut publicly and used to shill old cars without permission, right? [Styleite]

Marchesa designers Georgina Goodman and Keren Craig redesigned a Playboy bunny costume for the opening of the London Playboy Club. Unfortunately, it’s a one off, so the costumes at the Playboy Club in Vegas will remain as cheesy as ever.  [Vogue UK]
