Bottega Veneta Fall 2012 Preview
While visiting showrooms in Milan, we saw the PERFECT party bags for Fall, and we do not take that statement lightly. Bottega Veneta has always been known for their craftsmanship and woven detailing, but this Fall, Tomas Maier takes Bottega Veneta’s signature look to new places. The Knot, one of Bottega’s most iconic bags, will be available in a new metallic scale-like texture and a rich satin lavender that we adore. For the girl on the go, Bottega Veneta has amazing small leather goods, which will come in vibrant colors and snakeskin prints for Fall. We love bags like these that make dressing for a night out super simple. With some dark jeans, a leather jacket, and a Bottega Veneta clutch, you’ll be party-ready in minutes!

Rag & Bone Fall 2012 Preview
With their Fall 2012 collection for Rag & Bone, David Neville and Marcus Wainwright demonstrated once again that they have an uncanny ability to know what women want. Tanks and sweaters were not only special enough to stand alone, but also great for layering on cold winter nights with their standout black and bronze skinny pants. We particularly loved the outwear, which was inspired by a blend of English tailoring and Indian textiles. David and Marcus mixed prints and fabrics just like their urban-dwelling downtown girl would.
We were thrilled to attend their Fashion Show in New York and snapped a couple behind-the-scenes pictures for you!

Dispatch from Paris Fashion Week: Nina Ricci Fall 2012
For Fall 2012, the normally ladylike Nina Ricci girl has been up to no good raiding her mother’s and grandmother’s closets – more specifically, French closets – and reimagining timeless pieces to feel modern and sexy. Tweeds were given slits, overextended sleeves, and fitted silhouettes. Lace insets and semi-sheer paneling gave the illusion of nakedness while managing to remain demure, and heirloom jewelry decorated the clutches. One of our favorite pieces from the fashion show was a long-sleeved deconstructed black lace dress that exemplified Peter Copping’s sophisticated ability to use luxurious fabrics in a carefree way.
If you’re jonesing for a taste of Parisian chic, make sure to stop by the store to check out Nina Ricci’s Spring 2012 offerings and enjoy these photos of the Fall 2012 collection from the Paris showroom.

Dispatch from Milan Fashion Week: Jil Sander Fall 2012
Inspired by a day in the life of a relationship, Raf Simons designed a harmonious collection celebrating the moment when two come together as one. We were immediately blown away by the outwear that blended structure with femininity like the cropped puffer jacket with a colorful lining (shown above). We always go to Jil Sander for classic staples, and this season, there were plenty of options from bold sweaters to printed blouses. The bags’ hardware detailing and sleek silhouettes helped to balance the collection’s delicate clothing. The stand out piece this season was a show-stopping floor length red dress with a long exposed zipper on the back.
As he heads to fill the vacancy at Christian Dior, Raf Simons abruptly announced this would be his last collection for Jil Sander. After the fashion show, Raf received an unprecedented standing ovation and encore. When this collection rolls into the store, you’ll definitely want to snag a piece of fashion history.

I just got back from an amazing trip to Cabo San Lucas, where I spent a fabulous week resting and recuperating with my husband David and son Kevin. After a busy first part of the year that was packed with buying trips to Europe and New York, it was great to finally pack my suitcase for a getaway! Here, a roundup of my favorite things to do, places to visit and cocktails to indulge in while south of the border.
We started spring break right with a glass of Chablis for breakfast! I like Domaine Vincent Dauvissat ‘La Forest’. Vino in hand, we headed via boat to The Office for ceviche, guac and margaritas. The Office is right on the beach – if only every work day could be spent in the sand!
What I’m wearing: Genetic shorts and Blu Life t-shirt. (Available in-store, call 310.230.8882 x 10)
