One of our favorite customers (and good friend!) Sydney Holland sent us this photo today of her chic, head-to-toe Elyse Walker ensemble. Because we love the way Sydney incorporated fall’s floral trend into her outfit in such a sophisticated way, we’ve decided to make it our official Outfit of the Day and dissect it for you right here, right now. Let’s start with the shoes, shall we? These just came in from YSL, and they are insane – love the patent cap-toe on the suede platform! Suede is a fall staple and the touch of patent gives these YSL beauties an unexpected twist. The black pencil skirt is another wardrobe basic – this one is from Theory, but we have lots of different options available at the store and online. The dark floral print blouse – a pattern that was all over the fall runways – is Beyond Vintage. Sydney accessorized with a Fendi ‘Chains’ messenger bag, which is made from this beautiful sequined leather that has an understated metallic sheen. Love the way the bag pulls the whole look together and works from day to evening.

Bonjour from France! Nicole, Sable and I are having a fabulous time at Paris Fashion Week seeing all of the Fall 2011 collections. Above is a photo of us ready for our first day of work in Paris. Sable is wearing an Isabel Marant striped fur coat with Balenciaga leather leggings (see similar) and Alaia hiking booties. I am in a J Mendel skirt, a Prada satin blouse and a J Mendel fur vest with a Lanvin necklace (see similar) and an Alexander Wang buckle bag. Nicole is also in Balenciaga leather leggings, a Chloe Sevigny for Opening Ceremony cropped sweater and YSL platform pumps.

If you love fashion as much as we do, then don’t miss our slideshow from our first couple of days in Paris, featuring some of our favorite pieces so far from Lanvin, Balenciaga and J Mendel, as well as one of our can’t-miss lunch spots L’Avenue, on Avenue Montaigne, where we were seated right next to Vogue editrix Anna Wintour. Let us know which pieces are your favorites and stay tuned all week for more from Paris Fashion Week.  -Elyse
