A graduate of Parsons at The New School for Design, Brooke interned in the accessories departments of Vogue and Teen Vogue while attending school and later returned to work in the hallowed halls of Vogue. This week, the accessories aficionado shared her top 5 summer must-haves with us.

Brooke’s Picks:
Top left: As a fellow Parsons alum, I’m a huge supporter of Alexander Wang. While I love light colors for spring/summer, there’s something so chic and classic about this black silk dress. From the front, it’s basic and streamlined, but the back has an unexpected draped racerback silhouette that reveals a flash of lower back. This summer, I’ll throw this on with Giuseppe Zanotti’s black and silver Chip sandal, put my hair up in a bun, and run out for the day. It’s simply chic.

Bottom left: Now that the weather is getting warm, there is nothing more I enjoy than having cocktails outside with my girlfriends after work. To take the black Alexander Wang dress I am lusting over from day to night, I will be slipping into these insane Giambattista Valli booties. Ladies take note: lace-up booties are great with and without tights. These shoes are transitional, so you get more bang for your buck.
Top right: Nothing screams summer quite like a tribal print. This Antik Batik cardigan is the perfect piece to throw on over a pair of white Acne skinny jeans and a light-weight tee. Bring the outfit from day to night with a fun pair of heels and a chunky cocktail ring.
Bottom right: During the colder months, I often daydreamed about sipping coffee in the West Village while wearing a vintage white dress with these tough Lanvin sandals. (If you don’t own a vintage dress, this Alexander Wang LWD is a great option too.) There is just something about mixing hard and soft elements in an outfit. Now that it’s almost summer, my dream can finally come to fruition. I am most certainly investing in these.
Center: Not only do I heart this LUV AJ ring, but I love the designer too. If I am ever in a hurry, and frazzled by an outfit decision, I know I can rely on one thing: a gold cocktail ring. This LUV AJ crystal chunk knucklebuster ring is the perfect accessory to add an element of interest to your look. It’s edgy, but not too much. I plan to wear this all summer with white flowing dresses and a navy Proenza Schouler PS1 bag.
