For Spring 2013, Jimmy Choo’s footwear and handbag collection blends ladylike silhouettes with sex appeal. Bold colors, animal embossed leather, suede, fringe and lace were transformed into works of art you’ll want to line your closet with next season. From a trend perspective, all the bases were well covered, from wedge sneakers and gladiator styles to booties and smoking slippers. And, let’s not forget how totally beyond the handbags are. We’re already thinking about outfits to pair with those snakeskin clutches. Which Choos are on your wish list?
Lightweight and ready to be whisked away in a suitcase bound for someplace that smells of hibiscus and coconut, Sigerson Morrison’s Resort 2013 offerings will transition well from a lazy, mid-winter vacation spent in the tropics to the breezy days of Spring/Summer 2013 back in LA. Colorblocking, studs, cork, cut-outs and exotic skins are all incorporated into the collection, which, to borrow a term from Jonathan Adler, makes us feel happy-chic. Check out Sigerson Morrison’s Resort 2013 collection below and get that wish list started.
Gianvito Rossi shoes could all be considered tiny architectural masterpieces. Each one has the line and scale that design aficionadas dream of. While we know we’re no Zaha Hadid, we can still spot a well constructed accoutrement when we see one, and we’ve got Rossi’s cobalt blue zip up bootie on our wish list for Resort. What’s on yours?
Season after season, we’re always excited to check out what the design team at Jimmy Choo has dreamed up, and the Resort 2013 collex was no exception. The groupings were wide and varied: pointy toes, peep toes, neutrals, brights and neon – a trend we’re still loving and which has shown no sign of slowing. Single-sole shoes made a comeback in this collection, and after several years of increasingly thick platforms, anyone who wants to walk a bit closer to the pavement will have a variety of options for staying grounded. Check out our slideshow below and let us know what styles you’re hoping to see in the boutique when the Resort 2013 collections roll in.
For fans of color, Charlotte Olympia‘s Resort 2013 collex will be a welcome addition to liven up your winter wardrobe when it rolls into the store this December. Pastels, platforms and intricate, swirly flourishes in rich suede dominate the whimsical collection. These are definitely not shoes for the shy. In fact, each pair makes such a statement that you’ll need little more than an LBD to complete a look. Our personal fave: a mint green pump with a gold cap toe, which we’re planning to pair with a ton of stacked gold bangles. Check out our exclusive images from the Charlotte Olympia showroom below and let us know which styles are your fave in the comments below.
